CabiBUS, the vehicle

CabiBUS vehicle specifications 

 

6 cabins, each with room for one or two passenger and hand luggage.

Exchangeable cabins, examples: Cabins can be replaced for service or cleaning.

One or more passenger cabins can be replaced with parcel delivery boxes for last miles deliveries on evenings and weekends when there is lower demand for passenger transportation.

 

1 rear cabin that can be booked for a wheelchair passenger, baby stroller or large baggage.

 

Driveline: Fully electric. 4wheel drive in areas where the climate requires.

 

Autonomous: SAE level 4 with remote control from fleet operation central when requiered. 

 

Top speed: 110 km/h. Battery range: 400 - 500 km

 

Measures: Lenght: ~650 cm. Height: ~200 cm. Width: ~200 cm.

 

Ventilation: Air conditioning system delivers fresh and filtered air with selectable temperature to each cabin.


Light: Passenger selectable level for each cabin.

 

Safety: Airbags all around in each cabin and unique rigid framework for highest possible passenger protection in case of accident.

 

Communication: Video conferencing with other cabins and over Internet to other places.

 

Information: Large touch screen in front of each passenger with several selectable windows. Front view camera, navigation map, estimated time to goal, video call, tourist information, TV, Internet.  

 

Cleaning: Each cabin is checked by cameras when a passenger has left. If it is dirty the cabin is taken out of the booking system until the CabiBUS goes off duty in the night at the service hub. If the passenger forgot something when leaving the cabin, the passenger gets an alarm and the door can be opened again so that the passenger can take out the missing belonging. If the passenger do not take it, the cabin is taken out of the booking system until the subject has been returned to the passenger.


At the service/charging hub the cabins requiring cleaning are cleaned or exchanged for clean cabins if they need a more thorough cleaning.


Disinfection: When a passenger leaves the cabin and before the next passenger is picked up, strong UV-C LED lamps floods utraviolet light over the surfaces in the cabin to kill possible bacteria, viruses and other harmful microbes. See

Platooning: CabiBUS vehicles can travel with minimum distance between them in order to reduce energy consumption and street space.
